The ticket design for this upcoming May’s 110th running of the Indianapolis 500 has been revealed.
The 2025 race winner and eventual series champion Alex Palou was on hand to help show off the new look on Tuesday evening.
As has been tradition, the ticket features the image of last year’s winner celebrating victory in the season’s biggest race.
Palou is shown front and center, standing atop his Chip Ganassi Racing Honda in victory lane after conquering the race in his sixth attempt.
“I always had to sign the ticket as a driver, and I always wanted be on the ticket,” Palou said.
“It’s amazing. I love it. It was probably the coolest day of my life, and I cannot wait to see it on a small scale all around IMS. It’s going to look good.”
The ticket was designed by Senior Art Director Mandy Walsh, who incorporated this year’s event logo into the borders of the ticket.
The bright yellow color of Palou’s race suit stands out, superimposed over an image of his DHL car crossing the yard of bricks in the background.
There was even a sponsor-themed unveiling, with the champion himself opening a DHL delivery box to reveal an oversized version of the ticket for display.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway continues to print and mail physical tickets to the Indy 500, giving fans a collectible item that many sporting events no longer provide.
Palou will attempt to defend his 500 win this May, just as Josef Newgarden successfully did across his 2023-2024 back-to-back victories.
Qualifying for the 110th Indianapolis 500 takes place the weekend of May 16-17, with the race itself getting underway on Sunday, May 24.
