W Series, the all-female motorsport series, has announced it will host an additional non-championship race at Assen on the Sunday.
The extra race, which has been described as "experimental", will boost the calendar to seven events as it is in addition to Saturday's normal race at the Dutch venue.
The race will be held in reverse grid order with Saturday's result determining starting positions and there will be no points handed out.
"We are delighted to announce that we will be holding an additional W Seres race at Assen on Sunday 21st July," the series confirmed in a statement.
"It will be a non-championship race, with no W Series championship points awarded, and, in a spirit of experimentation, the starting grid will be in reverse order of the finishing position of our normal Saturday race the afternoon before.
"We regard this additional experimental non-championship W Series race as a very exciting one."
The championship is three races into an original six-race calendar with Britain's Jamie Chadwick scoring two wins to lead the only other winner in Dutch racer Beitske Visser by 68 points to 55. Spain's Marta Garcia is a distant third with 35 points.
