Juncos lands primary sponsor days before Indy 500

Juncos Racing has secured a primary sponsor just days after bumping McLaren's Fernando Alonso from the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500.

In the lead-up to practice week, the team arrived in Gasoline Alley with a fully adorned white, sponsorless car which was due to the team losing two sponsors as the team prepared to hit the track in Indianapolis.

Problems were exacerbated after Kyle Kaiser crashed heavily during 'Fast Friday' practice, leaving the team to prepare their road course back-up car which was used at the previous round, the IndyCar Classic at the Circuit of The Americas.

The team's small crew worked tirelessly overnight to prepare the car for Saturday's qualifying session, but Juncos stalwart Kyle Kaiser was unable to get the #32-Chevrolet into the automatic top 30 qualifiers.

In Sunday's one-shot shootout, the 2017 Indy Lights champion was able to complete his run narrowly beating Alonso by a mere 0.019mph to secure the final place in the field for the prestigious race.

250ok, an Indianapolis-based email intelligence platform has been able to step in with help from lifelong racefan CEO Greg Kraios who identified with the story of Juncos team.

Team owner Ricardo Juncos said, “We are thrilled to announce a highly innovative company like 250ok has joined our effort and will be our primary sponsor for the No. 32 Juncos Racing Indy 500 entry. When Kraios offered to support us, and we were connected over our personal journeys, we knew this sponsorship was meant to be.

"We both share the same values, commitments, and goals, and I look forward to building our relationship with the 250ok team.”

“After hearing Ricardo’s story, and knowing they were in need of a sponsor, I jumped at the opportunity,” added Kraios. “From our similar upbringings, supporting his hardworking and odds-defying team felt like a personal calling.”

It is unclear if Juncos will compete in any further rounds of the NTT IndyCar Series after the Indy 500.
