With no major motorsport events happening anywhere in the world this weekend save for our American NASCAR cousins who were at the Texas Motor Speedway (read all about it in our US edition later today), it was time to bring out the big guns, our famous features…
First up, Grands Prix Editor Phil Horton takes a look at what can still be won in the silverware department of this year's Formula 1 World Championship plus he also asks some intriguing questions about whether of not Lewis Hamilton will actually win a race after he has been crowned champion. Phillip tackles these and all the other questions that were on the tip of your tongue!
Then Jerry Williams reports back from his late summer hols, sorry his trip to Spain where he reported on last week's RallyRACC Catalunya. Wow, did the food (and wine) turn out to be a bit of a disappointment. Something about big hotels, raucous British holidaymakers, and kebab shops on every corner. Oh, but what about the rally? Well, you will have to read his column…
Meanwhile Sportscar Editor Daniel Lloyd caught up with Stuart Leonard, last year's Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup champion and 2018 Bathurst 12 Hour winner who only five years ago had never taken part in a motor race in his life. The interview makes fascinating reading and will be an inspiration to those chasing their racing driver dreams, no matter how late in life they have left it.
And as always we have all the usual news, views and stories in this week's edition of the most widely read weekly motorsport magazine in the world!
