McLaren has added Coca-Cola as a partner for the remainder of the 2018 Formula 1 season.
Coca-Cola has previously been involved in Formula 1 through its Burn brand’s alliance with Lotus in 2012-13, but it will mark the first time its logos have appeared on a car.
Coca-Cola, as well as offshoots Dasani Sparkling and SmartWater, will appear on the MCL33 in the USA, Brazil and Abu Dhabi, as well as on the overalls of McLaren’s drivers.
“Coca-Cola has a rich history of sponsorship and a record of innovative activations and we are honoured the company has chosen to partner with McLaren to explore opportunities in Formula 1,” said McLaren boss Zak Brown.
“Formula 1 as a sport is changing, as are we as a team, and we’re looking forward to introducing Coca-Cola to the potential that our team and fantastic, global sport represents.”
