Kush Maini went fastest in the Formula E rookie test at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, ahead of the Saudi city’s debut weekend in the all-electric champonship.

The Indian, driving for his compatriot outfit Mahindra Racing, set a time of 1.17:184, three tenths-of-a-second faster than Gabriele Mini, driving for Nissan.

Mikkel Jansen impressed in what was his first single-seater outing in nine years, grabbing third spot for Cupra Kiro with a time 0.073s adrift of the Italian.

Theo Pourchaire was fourth for Maserati MSG Racing, four tenths slower than Jansen, with former Formula 1 driver Daniil Kvyat fifth for DS Penske.
