Formula E has announced an enhanced FIA Girls on Track programme for Season 11 which promises new opportunities for 50 young women on race days.
The electric racing series will offer new race-day opportunities including behind-the-scenes access to young women looking to build a career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Formula E previously hosted 120 young women across 10 races last year and worked with FIA Girls on Track to support 4,500 young women in the sport.
They provided educational opportunities on race weekends which included workshops and career-led talks about Formula E.
This new enhanced programme promises to expand the number of opportunities for young women, offering support to grassroots initiatives.
Formula E will also provide e-karting opportunities for the women already enrolled in the programme, for school and university students.
For Season 11, Formula E aims to expand the number of young women participating in the programme by giving 50 women exclusive access to the FIA Girls on Track space in the Fan Village.
These women will also be able to attend career-led talks and networking events, alongside a new community newsletter and resource hub.

“In Madrid, hosting an all-women’s test session provides a crucial opportunity for them to test themselves using current technology that we hope will not only develop their own skill sets but be inspirational to many of the young women involved in our FIA Girls on Track programme too.”
