Kiro Race Co has unveiled a “vibrant” livery for its FIA Formula E GEN3 Evo car that will contest the 11th season.

The now-American team has gone with a fluorescent yellow colour scheme which it says has been chosen “for instant recognition and lasting visual impact”.

The future of the team was under speculation and doubt in recent weeks, with announcement finally coming last week that the US-based investment company Forest Road had purchased it, with it now a customer of year-old Porsche powertrains, as opposed to running as a manufacturer, which has done under several different guises since the inception of the championship in 2014.

In a statement, Alex Hui, Kiro’s Team Principal, said: “We set out to create a design that is not only cool but also impossible to miss—whether on the track or in the paddock.

“It’s more than just aesthetics; this livery is a bold declaration of our identity as daring upstarts, ready to redefine the rules. We want this design to spark excitement, inspire our fans, and attract partners who share our drive for bold innovation and fearless competition.”

Commercial Director Jon Wilde said: “Designed to be the most visible car on the Formula E grid, our livery is a powerful tool to connect with our audiences. It is a visual statement that will capture attention, attract like-minded partners, and deepen our connection with fans – all critical to achieving our ambitious targets as a sports franchise.”

Kiro to announce drivers ‘in coming weeks’

Kiro has said that an announcement of its drivers will be “in the coming weeks”, but observant FE fans will notice that on the reveal of the livery, it shows a car bearing the number 33, which is that of long-standing driver Dan Ticktum.

The Englishman has been at the centre of speculation that he was the man responsible for introducing both parties which secured the team’s future, which also indicates that he will be one of the drivers that will be behind the wheel.

This leaves the second seat, and speculation is beginning to mount that Sergio Sette Camera may not be secure in the team after all.

Motorsport Week understands that the Brazilian was confident in staying, but now a blackout of information has led to a possibility that he may be replaced.

It is thought that Kiro may run an as-of-yet-unamed driver in the upcoming pre-season testing programme in Valencia, which will prelude a confirmation.

Motorsport Week also understands that Forest Road would ideally like to see an American driver in the team in the future, but with IndyCar drivers unlikely to move, the team would have to search within the IndyNXT championship for someone to fulfil this wish.
