F1 Academy announces American Express as an official partner, with British driver Jessica Edgar donning their livery.

American Express joins F1 Academy as an official partner after being announced as the Official Payments Partner of Formula 1 in the Americas last year.

Representing Edgar’s #17 car operated by Rodin Motorsport, the American bank will run a custom livery with American Express and Shop Small branding.

Their Shop Small branding is an initiative run by American Express committed to supporting small local businesses across America.

From the second of the seven rounds next weekend in Miami, the British driver will sport the unique blue American Express livery.

As part of their F1 Academy deal, the bank will showcase a local Miami restaurant Caja Caliente on their car livery.

Through their partnership, American Express will also host a Card Member event on May 1st ahead of the Miami Grand Prix celebrating women in business and sport.

“A Celebration of Women with Drive” will feature special guests and American singer Camilla Cabello to celebrate alongside F1 Academy.

Elizabeth Rutledge, Chief Marketing Officer, American Express said: “We are thrilled to launch our global partnership with F1 ACADEMY for the 2024 season. Powerfully backing communities is core to American Express’ DNA.

“With this partnership, we hope to continue to foster equal opportunities for women, on and off the track, while spotlighting women-owned small businesses and their impact on their local communities.”
