IndyCar Long Beach – Qualifying Results

The streets of Long Beach hosted a thrilling IndyCar qualifying session on Saturday, with Felix Rosenqvist giving Meyer Shank Racing its first official IndyCar pole.

Rosenqvist was a mere 0.004 seconds faster than Will Power, with both drivers relating that they felt they put together the fastest lap possible on their final runs.

Josef Newgarden set the third fastest time, and will start alongside Colton Herta in Sunday’s race.

A couple of the series’ typically fast drivers had tough luck, including Pato O’Ward and Alexander Rossi who both failed to advance out of the first round.

The 85-lap Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach takes place Sunday afternoon at 12:30 PM Pacific Time, 3:30 PM Eastern Time.
