Motopark’s Joel Eriksson regained the lead in the European F3 title race with victory in the third and final race of the weekend at the Hungaroring.

Eriksson led from start to finish during a relatively straightforward encounter in Hungary to capture his fourth win of the season.

Eriksson’s victory, combined with another sixth-place for Maximilian Gunther, enabled the Swede to gain control of the title battle once more, five points ahead of his German opponent.

Callum Ilott preserved a lonely second place throughout as he backed up his Race 2 win with another podium.

Guan Yu Zhou and Lando Norris contested third place, with Norris making a move on his Prema rival into the chicane on the penultimate lap.

Norris held the inside line but Zhou remained ahead by cutting the chicane and stayed in front until the chequered flag, with stewards having noted the incident.

David Beckmann reinforced his progress since switching to Motopark with another fifth place, in front of Gunther, while Jake Hughes took seventh.

Joey Mawson, Jehan Daruvala and Nikita Mazepin rounded out the top 10.
