Formula E championship leader Sebastien Buemi has been excluded from the first Berlin ePrix race of the weekend.
The Renault e.dams driver rallied back from qualifying down in 14th place to finish in fifth, helped by Jean-Eric Vergne being handed a five-second time penalty ahead of him.
But he has now lost his points-scoring result from the first race of the Tempelhof double-header for illegal tyre pressures.
Post-race checks found that the tyres on Buemi’s car from race one were below the minimum pressures that are allowed.
This is a breach of Article 25.11 of the sporting regulations, and means he has been excluded from the race result.
Buemi’s championship lead now falls from 32 to 22 points, with nearest rival Lucas di Grassi taking pole position and second place in race one.
It promotes those behind him, with team-mate Nicolas Prost moving up to fifth, Daniel Abt to sixth and Sam Bird to seventh.
Vergne moves up to eighth, with Maro Engel ninth and Oliver Turvey jumping up into the top 10 and scoring the final point.
