Stephane Sarrazin will replace Esteban Gutierrez at Techeetah for the remainder of the 2016/2017 Formula E season, with Tom Dillmann taking over his Venturi seat.
After losing his Formula 1 drive with Haas, Gutierrez joined Techeetah from the Mexico City ePrix but was called up to replace Sebastien Bourdais at Dale Coyne Racing in IndyCar.
Bourdais was injured in a crash during Indianapolis 500 qualifying and while Gutierrez has only been confirmed for this weekend’s Detroit double-header, the changes to the Formula E grid indicate he will remain in IndyCar this season.
Techeetah has therefore replaced him with Sarrazin for the rest of the Formula E season, the French driver making the move over from Venturi.
He has been with the team since the very start of the Formula E championship in 2014, but has switched across to the Renault-powered Techeetah outfit, alongside Jean-Eric Vergne.
Dillmann stood in for Maro Engel at Venturi for the Paris ePrix due to the German's clashing DTM commitments and will remain at the team, taking Sarrazin’s place, for rounds in Berlin, New York and Montreal.
