Following the success of the first two seasons, Formula E’s behind-the-scenes series, Unplugged, will return in 2024. The third season of Unplugged will be available from January 2 2024.
Unplugged is in many ways the Formula E equivalent of Netflix’s Formula 1 docuseries ‘Drive to Survive’ (DTS), which has played a significant role in F1’s boom in the United States of America.
Similarly to DTS, Unplugged takes viewers behind-the-scenes to show never-seen-before footage, with the newest series based around the exhilarating 2023 Formula E campaign (season nine). Season nine was a spectacle like no other, with a four-way title fight having gone down to the wire in the London season finale.
The newest series of Unplugged will follow the titanic title fight between Jake Dennis, Nick Cassidy, Mitch Evans and Pascal Wehrlein, whilst also delving into other storylines. Eight episodes roughly 25 minutes long make up the third season, with it being available on TNT Sports in the UK.
TNT Sports was recently announced as the new Formula E broadcaster in the UK and Ireland, after agreeing to a multi-year deal with the all-electric series. For those in the UK who don’t have TNT Sports, Unplugged season 3 will be available globally on YouTube. However, it will consist of 10 episodes, each being 15 minutes in duration. This has been done to suit the platform.
For those outside of the UK, Unplugged season 3 will be available on Roku in the USA, on Eurosport Player/Discovery+ in Pan Europe and on Bandeirantes in Brazil.

Unplugged is the perfect way for new fans to catch-up on Formula E just as our new season begins, and for dedicated fans to get a whole new perspective on the entertainment from last season.”
Of course, it was Jake Dennis who was victorious in the huge title scrap, with those who watch Unplugged season 3 to see more of Andretti Formula E’s “momentous effort”.
Dennis is a big fan of Unplugged and how it gives fans the chance to discover “untold stories” and get to know those in the championship. He believes this makes it “much easier” for followers of the sport to “connect” with Formula E.
“It took a momentous effort from the entire team last year to achieve what we did,” said Dennis.
“So much happens behind the scenes that fans don’t usually get to see, and so to be able to give fans an insight into all of the untold stories through Unplugged is fantastic. It’s also so much easier to connect with a sport when you feel like you know the people involved in it.
“Unplugged truly offers viewers a unique look at what it takes to compete in one of the world’s most competitive sports.”
