Wow! What a weekend of action we have to report on this week. Apart from Formula 1, almost every other series we cover held events this weekend…

First up Rallies Editor David Ledbitter has our top story as Round 9 of the 2023 FIA WRC kicked off in Jyvaskyla on Thursday for this year’s edition of WRC Finland, also known as the “Gravel Grand Prix”. And there were surprises galore with a very popular winner and podium; read David’s report for the full story.

Meanwhile the action was on two wheels at Silverstone this weekend for the British round of MotoGP. All eyes weren’t on the riders but rather on the sky as typical British temperamental summer weather beckoned. MotoGP Editor Kyle Francis had his wellies on as he was trackside at the wet and soggy Northamptonshire circuit.

Next up it was the turn of the NTT IndyCar Series and IndyCar Editor Kevin Dejewski was in Nashville for the Music City Grand Prix. With the title seemingly out of reach until the recent double header in Iowa, where both races won by Josef Newgarden, would Alex Palou see his near 100 point lead eaten into again?

While in the USA, it was also time for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship’s annual visit to Road America. With more than 10 GTP prototypes heading the field, all eyes would be on the Elkhart Lake venue. Sportscar Editor Phil Oakley has your report.

Then we are back across the pond the latest round of the DTM Series held this weekend at the Nurburgring. Mo Rehman has your report on both races where it was also rather wet for Sunday’s race. And Finally F1’s loved Agony Aunt, Ask Carla, is back with some advice for Carlos Sainz and his Ferrari strategists.
