KTM has announced that Fabio Di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez will make up its factory lineup for the 2027 MotoGP season.

The Austrian manufacturer has elected for a complete overhaul of its lineup after Pedro Acosta’s departure to Ducati, with Brad Binder also exiting the factory setup.

Di Giannantonio joins KTM after five years in MotoGP with Ducati, winning two races and achieving nine podiums.

The Italian rider becomes a factory rider for the first time in his career after signing a two-year deal.

Alex Marquez also joins KTM after riding a Ducati, following his four seasons with Gresini.

Marquez heads to the Austrian marque after his most successful spell in the premier class with the Italian satellite team.

The Spanish rider finished runner up in the standings in 2025 after taking three victories and nine podiums.

Marquez also won the Spanish Grand Prix this campaign, but joined KTM in the bid to become a factory rider after six years riding satellite machinery.

Motorsports Director Pit Beirer stated: “We are extremely proud and happy to have secured an exceptional talent like Alex Marquez – the 2025 World Championship runner-up – for our project.

“Alex brings not only outstanding skill and race intelligence but also determination and a winning mindset that perfectly matches our DNA.

“Together we share a clear objective: to take the KTM RC16 to the next level and fight at the very front of MotoGP.

“Fabio has clearly made a step to become one of the consistent front-running guys in MotoGP.

“We cannot question his speed and commitment to delivering the best performance. He is a strong team player and a good guy, that we know will fit easily into our Red Bull KTM Factory Racing project.

“During our talks we were impressed by how passionate he is to give the maximum on track and off it, and we believe the next chapter together will be exciting and memorable. Welcome Fabio.”
