Trackhouse Racing rider Raul Fernandez blitzed the competition to record the fastest time in the final Brno MotoGP practice session.
The Spaniard’s rapid final run of 1.52.050s put him over eight tenths of a second clear of second placed rider Marc Marquez.
Maverick Vinales claimed an important third place for his confidence post-injury, with Fermin Aldeguer and Ai Ogura close behind.
Pedro Acosta finished the session in sixth on the RC16, followed by the Italian duo of Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi.
Diogo Moreira finished as the Honda reference in ninth, ahead of stable mate Joan Mir and top Yamaha Fabio Quartararo.
Franco Morbidelli claimed 12th for VR46 Ducati, lapping 0.050s clear of fellow VR46 Academy graduate Luca Marini.
Jorge Martin, Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia finished below their usual standards to finish the session 14th to 16th.
Toprak Razgatlioglu posted a lap to place him 17th, ahead of KTM riders Enea Bastianini and Brad Binder.
Yamaha’s Jack Miller and Alex Rins accompanied LCR’s Cal Crutchlow to close out proceedings.
