Nicolo Bulega continued his phenomenal run of form by clinching a 20th successive victory in the WorldSBK Superpole race in Misano.

The championship leader led every single lap as he continued his imperious run of form at his home track.

Bulega made the start from pole position and held onto the lead going down into Turn 1 ahead of team-mate Iker Lecuona.

He proved to be unstoppable throughout the 10 lap race and pulled over one second clear of Lecuona to remain comfortable in the lead.

The home favourite eventually crossed the line to claim an unprecedented 20th successive victory in the 2026 season, winning by a margin of 1.133s.

Lecuona was able to keep tabs on his team-mate, but was unable to challenge his lead as he came home in second.

Yari Montella made a good start to the race and managed to convert it into a second podium finish of the weekend in another Ducati lockout.

Alex Lowes was also forced to exit the race after a rare technical problem for the Bimota, with team-mate Axel Bassani and Alberto Surra lucky to avoid the slowing British rider in the final sector as they duelled for fourth.

Surra ran wide in the late stages to gift fourth place to Bassani, but was able to hold onto fifth after a duel with Miguel Oliveira, until he was awarded a three second penalty for failing to serve a drop one position during the race.

Oliveira himself ran wide to allow Lorenzo Baldassarri into what ended up being fifth on the road, with the Portuguese rider slotting into sixth and Surra in seventh.

Andrea Locatelli finished eighth, while Tarran Mackenzie progressed to ninth. Stefano Manzi completed the top 10 after electing to run a different tyre compound to the rest of the field.

Michael van der Mark was 11th ahead of Alvaro Bautista and Remy Gardner.

Garrett Gerloff was running inside the top 10 until he was forced to avoid the crashing Tommy Bridewell, whose Ducati machine careered back onto the circuit after his exit from the race, with the American finishing 14th.

Honda rider Somkiat Chantra was 15th at the chequered flag.
