Jorge Martin secured his second MotoGP Sprint victory of the season with a commanding display at Le Mans.
Martin was untouchable in the Sprint race at Le Mans, with the Spaniard dominating Saturday afternoon to secure a comfortable victory.
The Aprilia rider started eighth on the grid but surged into the lead at the opening chicane after sweeping around the outside of teammate Marco Bezzecchi.
Joining Martin on the podium were pole sitter Francesco Bagnaia and championship leader Bezzecchi.
At the start, Bezzecchi claimed the holeshot from the front row before losing the lead to Martin at the first chicane following the Spaniard’s sensational launch from the third row.

The opening retirements came on Lap 2, as Luca Marini crashed out from 15th place before Jonas Folger also fell moments later.
Bagnaia slipped to third at the start but reclaimed second on Lap 3 after passing Bezzecchi. Meanwhile, teammate Marc Marquez continued to fall backwards, dropping to seventh.
Fabio Di Giannantonio became the third rider to crash after a poor start left him battling in 14th position on Lap 4. The Italian was able to remount and continue at the rear of the field.
Yellow flags were shown again at the end of Lap 5 when Enea Bastianini crashed in the final sector. One lap later, Franco Morbidelli fell at the same corner.
By Lap 7, Martin had extended his advantage over Bagnaia to over a second and continued to edge clear at the front.
The main battle in the closing stages was for eighth place, with Ai Ogura successfully holding off Alex Marquez.
Drama struck late in the race when Marc Marquez crashed out of seventh place at the end of the penultimate lap after being launched over the handlebars of his Ducati.
Having taken the lead at the first chicane, Martin was never challenged as he secured his second Sprint race victory of the season.
