Trackhouse Racing rider Ai Ogura recorded the fastest time in the final Brazilian MotoGP practice of the weekend.

The Japanese rider posted 1.18.237s on his final lap to dethrone reigning premier class champion Marc Marquez.

Jorge Martin secured third on the Aprilia after topping the session in the closing stages.

After conditions impacted Friday’s two practice sessions, riders were able to put in a string of lap times in dry weather.

The conditions were still tricky, though, given wet patches still occupying the circuit at certain points.

Notable riders like Alex Marquez, Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi found the limit before crashing.

Factory Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia claimed fourth spot, ahead of KTM rider Pedro Acosta and Honda representative Joan Mir.

Maverick Vinales posted a strong seventh place, lapping quicker than VR46 Ducati duo Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Despite crashing, Bezzecchi finished the final practice session in the top 10 positions, 0.627s behind Ogura.

Yamaha dominated 11th through to 13th, with Alex Rins the reference heading into qualifying, closely followed by Fabio Quartararo and rookie Toprak Razgatlioglu.

Hometown hero Diogo Moreira finished practice 14th, ahead of Gresini’s Marquez, Enea Bastianini and Marini.

Trackhouse’s Raul Fernandez finished down in 18th as he and Pramac rider Jack Miller lapped a second adrift.

Johann Zarco topped the second practice session but finished down in 20th heading into qualifying, as Brad Binder and Fermin Aldeguer closed out proceedings.
