Bianca Bustamante and Zak O’Sullivan are the latest drivers confirmed for next week’s Formula E rookie test at the Madrid E-Prix weekend.
The all-electric championship is making its first visit to the Circuito del Jarama for racing, having successfully hosted the Season 11 pre-season test.
And after the last rookie test, in which they tackled the sub-one-minute lap at the shortened version of the Miami International Autodrome, Jarama will provide a sterner challenge.
Bustamante has driven the circuit before, when part of McLaren’s Driver Development Programme, in the historic first all-women’s test at the conclusion of that schedule in 2024.
Since, the Filipina has been part of the Cupra Kiro line-up, and will drive for the team again in Spain.
“I’m very excited to continue building my experience in Formula E,” Bustamante said. “After first getting behind the wheel of the CUPRA KIRO in Berlin, my most recent test in Valencia was a really positive step forward, so to be back in the car again so soon is a fantastic opportunity to keep learning, to push myself, and to apply everything I’ve been working on behind the scenes.
“At this stage of my career, every opportunity is incredibly valuable, and I’m proud to be supporting the team. Madrid is another important milestone for me, and I’m ready to make the most of it.”

Like Bustamante, O’Sullivan will once again drive for the team he has driven for before – Envision Racing – and the British-based squad’s simulator driver will be hoping to top the timesheets, as he did in Miami.
“After a successful FP0 session in Miami, I’m excited to get a full day in the car in Madrid,” the British driver, who also competes in the Japanese Super Formula series, said.
“It’s been a good start to the season for the team, so I’ll be working hard to assist where I can with data and feedback.”
