Dacia has confirmed that they will shutter their Sandriders Rally-Raid programme at the end of the current season, with Abu Dhabi scheduled to be their last event, and ruling out a return to Dakar in 2027.
Having won the Dakar Rally at just their second attempt, Dacia is chasing the 2026 FIA W2RC title over the remaining rounds of the championship starting with Portugal in mid-March.
The team will decide on an event-by-event basis which three drivers compete, despite having four top-level drivers: Nasser Al-Attiyah, Sebastien Loeb – and their major signing ahead of the last Dakar – Lucas Moraes, the 2025 Rally-Raid world champion with Toyota – and Cristina Gutierrez.
