Nico Mueller can only ask ‘for a little bit’ more after the Miami E-Prix

Nico Mueller surprised again, taking pole position in the Miami E-Prix and finishing the third race of Formula E Season 12 in second place.

“A great day with Pole Position and P2 for myself, and that’s what we’re building on”, Mueller commented at the end of the race.

This is Mueller’s first season with Porsche and the new pairing already seems to be successful.

In the first few races of the season, Mueller managed to shine, achieving positive results.

During the first race of the season in Sao Paulo, Mueller finished fifth, while he finished ninth in the second E-Prix in Mexico City.

At the Hard Rock Stadium, the rain shuffled the cards before the start, making the race unpredictable.

After his first laps behind the Safety Car, Jaguar’s Mitch Evans managed to come back, outwitting Nico Mueller and moving into first place.

The Porsche driver, followed by his teammate Pascal Wehrlein, still collected important points, finishing in second and third place after trying to catch up to Evans.

“Our third race weekend and both cars on the podium, I think we could only ask for a little bit more!”, said Mueller, of his first experiences with Porsche, after leaving Andretti at the end of Season 11.

The Swiss driver, with 33 points, is now in fifth place in the drivers’ championship, just ahead of Mitch Evans, winner of the Miami race.

Porsche, on the other hand, leads the team standings with 71 points, having already opened a 44-point gap over Citroen, thanks to the performance by both its drivers and the difficult weekend Citroen had.
