Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein went fastest in the only practice session of this weekend’s Sao Paulo E-Prix – the Formula E season-opener – after Friday’s FP1 was cancelled.
Grid-wide radio problems enforced the first practice to be called off, meaning that there would be just one solitary practice session ahead of qualifying for the afternoon’s race.
The German’s 1:09.853s was enough to go fastest, with Nyck de Vries second in the Mahindra, with team-mate Edo Mortara fourth.
Dan Ticktum was third, ahead of Oliver Rowland, who complained of a broken drive shaft before the end of the hour, with team-mate Norman Nato sixth.
