Toprak Razgatlioglu isn’t concerned about Yamaha’s shortcomings ahead of his 2026 move to the Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team.

The newly crowned three-time WorldSBK champion has closed the Superbike chapter of his career and will test the Yamaha bike privately in Aragon on Sunday and Monday.

Although Yamaha’s difficulties have led star rider Fabio Quartararo to repeatedly say he won’t wait around if the 2026 bike isn’t competitive, Razgatlioglu remains confident that the Japanese marque will return to its former glory, even as it is set to finish last in the Constructors’ standings.

“I’m not worried because the Yamaha men believe in me,” shared Razgatlioglu to GPOne at EICMA.

“We talk often, and they are all working very hard to improve the bike. It may not be the best bike now, but I think Yamaha is continuously improving the bike and it has always been strong in the past.

“So has Honda. Now Ducati is really strong, both in MotoGP and Superbike, but I think Yamaha will come back even stronger. We will see.

“I’m ready to work for them to try to improve the bike, and I always do my best in races. I am very focused.”

Toprak Razgatlioglu not closing the door on a possible WorldSBK return one day

Razgatlioglu has signed a two-year contract with Yamaha, taking him through the new 2027 MotoGP regulations.

However, he won’t rule out a return to WorldSBK if he isn’t able to achieve his dream of winning races and securing podium finishes in the premier class.

“It’s too early to talk about it,” the Turkish rider shared.

“I have to see the MotoGP paddock first. If I win a lot of podiums there, maybe I could stay there.

“I’m saying this now, but in the future I might maybe decide to go back to Superbike.

‘We’ll see.”
