Trackhouse boss Davide Brivio expressed that Raul Fernandez’s maiden MotoGP victory at Phillip Island was “the cherry on the cake.”

Brivio’s tenure in MotoGP has seen him win races with factory Yamaha, Suzuki, and now, with Aprilia through his role at Trackhouse.

The Italian joined Trackhouse for its debut MotoGP season in 2024, retaining Fernandez, who had previously raced for the RNF squad.

Fernandez finished 16th in his first season, but his 2025 Phillip Island victory is a testament to his continued development after a difficult start to the season.

“We are, of course, very happy. We are a new team – Trackhouse is in our second year,” he shared post-race to MotoGP.

“Today, a big congratulations to Raul. The way he managed to lead the race in almost all the laps and kept a constant pace.

“We talked a lot before the race, it would be difficult with tyre management. By the end of Phillip Island, you struggle with tyres to keep the pace until the end. He showed maturity so I hope it gives him confidence for the future.

“I would say in the last races, his confidence has grown with results. While we’re improving results, he was getting more and more confidence. This is the cherry on the cake.

“Thank you to Aprilia. This is the 300th win, so we are happy we did it for Aprilia. Thank you to the guys at the factory.

“You can see the progress that Raul and Marco [Bezzecchi] are so fast in the last races constantly. All the credit for Aprilia for the package they’ve given us.”
