Toprak Razgatlioglu has revealed his top priority for the penultimate round of the WorldSBK championship in Estoril.

Razgatlioglu holds a 36-point lead over Ducati rider Nicolo Bulega in the championship charts, but could become a three-time WorldSBK champion in Race 2 if results go his way.

Despite holding a strong advantage, the BMW rider remains focused on completing the treble, having taken only two wins at this venue last season.

“I’m just focused on my job and win the race, for me this is more clear,” Razgatlioglu shared with WorldSBK on Thursday.

“We will see this weekend because he’s also fast. I hope we are fighting and everyone again [gets to] watch a nice race.

“I am focused on winning the races this weekend. In Spain, we’ll see which races we get the title and go to Jerez a little more calm.

“We will see, I’m just thinking this weekend because I need to win again. Last year I didn’t do the hat-trick; my goal this weekend is the hat-trick.”

The Turkish rider explained that anything could happen to either himself or Bulega throughout the race weekend.

The 28-year-old emphasises that the unpredictable nature of the series means anything can happen to either rider, despite Bulega being the one tasked with overcoming the points deficit.

“Everyone told me about this [possible championship win], I saw the WorldSBK posting,” Razgatlioglu added.

“Everyone is just focused on Nicolo. This is motorsport, anything is possible, it’s the same for me. If I did some mistake, or my bike fail, it’s the same situation. But everybody is only talking about Bulega.

“I know I have a bit of a gap with Nicolo, but I’m never thinking this, because I’m not waiting [for] him [to] crash or have some engine problem.”
