Dale Coyne Racing has announces that it has signed Dennis Hauger to drive for the team for the full 2026 IndyCar season.

Hauger is the reigning IndyNXT by Firestone champion, having won six races and earned 11 podiums in his rookie season.

The 22-year-old drove for Andretti Global, and will have some familiar faces in his pit box for next season as well.

That is because Dale Coyne will partner with Andretti for next season, allowing both teams to benefit from shared knowledge.

“I’m excited to be joining Dale Coyne Racing for my rookie IndyCar season,” Hauger said. “The progress the team has shown this year is really impressive, and it’s an honor to take my place on the grid with them in 2026.

“I want to thank Dale Coyne and everyone at the team for putting their trust in me.

“It’ll also be nice to see some familiar faces through the team’s technical partnership with Andretti Global.

“They’ve been a big part of my success since making the switch, so having their involvement in another rookie season for me will be great. I’m looking forward to contributing and starting this next chapter together.”

Before joining IndyNXT, Hauger completed three years in Formula 2. He raced with PREMA and MP Motorsport during that time and earned four sprint wins and a single feature victory.

His skills were well-suited for the American open wheel scene, and he earned a top five finish in his first oval race at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Hauger already has plans to complete an offseason test at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and will officially begin his IndyCar journey in St. Petersburg on March 1.

The second driver in Dale Coyne’s lineup has not yet been announced, but is expected before the holidays.
