Toyota has unveiled a retro GT-One-inspred livery for Le Mans, celebrating 40 years of the manufacturer competing in the French endurance classic.

The livery, which will be used on the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, is inspired by the livery used on the Toyota GT-One, raced at Le Mans in 1998 in the GT1 class. It almost won the race, too, if the #29 car’s gearbox had not failed late on.

The #7 car will be driven by Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway, and Nyck de Vries at this year’s event. As you can see from the number panel, The Japanese manufacturer is (obviously) hoping for a win. Would you like to see this car win the classic 24 hour race? Take a look at the images and video below and let us know.
