Ferrari’s Antonio Fuoco set the fastest lap in the third and final free practice session for the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Spa, a 2:00.596.
Unlike yesterday’s second practice session, which saw three red flags amid, today’s one-hour session ran largely uninterrupted.
The two Cadillacs were second and third behind xxx in the #50 Ferrari. Earl Bamber in the #38 Cadillac V-Series.R was just under two tenths off Fuoco, while his teammate Alex Lynn in the sister #12 car was a further three hundredths away.
Fourth was Robert Kubica in the #83 AF Corse Ferrari, the yellow ‘satellite’ car, while Brendon Hartley was fifth in the #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid. Sixth was Peugeot’s Jean-Eric Vergne in the #93 car, while Kamui Kobayashi was seventh in the other Toyota, #7.
Eighth was Nico Varrone in the #99 Proton Porsche 963, with ninth going to #51 Ferrari’s Antonio Giovinazzi — the car which he crashed yesterday in FP2. Charles Milesi in the #36 Alpine rounds out the top 10.
In LMGT3, Simon Mann went fastest in the #21 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3, with a 2:17.831. He was 0.350 faster than Gianmarco Levorato in the #88 Proton Ford Mustang GT3, with Clemens Schmid a further tenth and a half off Levorato in the #87 ASP Lexus RC F GT3.
Fourth was Eduardo Barrichello in the #10 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3, while Arnold Robin was fifth in the sister Lexus, the #78 machine.
Qualifying begins at 14:40 local time with the LMGT3 cars taking to the track first.
