Sunday at Barber Motorsports Park was pure racing affair, with 27 drivers flying around one of the best natural terrain road courses on the calendar.

Alex Palou put on a clinic at the head of the field, leading from the green flag and winning his third race of the young season. The Spaniard now hold a commanding points lead heading into the Month of May.

Christian Lundgaard put in perhaps the most impressive drive of the day, climbing from seventh up to second completely on merit. Scott McLaughlin rounded out the podium with a solid drive.

There were not a ton of on-track passes, and in general drivers stayed in line while lapping the course. Partially a product of the fast, aero-sensitive nature of the course, and also partly on account of the heavier hybrid system.

It was a physical test, however, because drivers had to complete all 90 laps without more than a couple seconds break during the day’s three pit stops.

The next race on the schedule is less than one week away, with the series visiting the Indianapolis road course on Saturday.
