Following last year’s $1 Million Challenge at The Thermal Club, the NTT IndyCar Series returned this year for a points-paying round at the luxurious motor club.

Alex Palou’s Chip Ganassi Racing Honda was on rails in the final stint, which allowed him to overrun Pato O’Ward and take his second consecutive victory.

O’Ward finished in second with his Arrow McLaren team-mate rounding out the podium in third, securing a strong points day for the papaya squad.

Will Power and Josef Newgarden successfully salvaged a decent result from their poor qualifying efforts, earning the sixth and 13th positions respectively.

Scott McLaughlin continued the streak of Team Penske’s bad luck however, suffering through a spin as the green flag waved and a hybrid failure later on. He ultimately retired shortly before the checkered flag, finishing in the 27th and final position.

The next race on the 2025 schedule will see the paddock head back to the streets, when IndyCar will share the weekend with IMSA in Long Beach.
