Kamui Kobayashi set the pace in the final practice session for the IMSA Sportscar Championship season opener, the Daytona 24 Hours, with the Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing driver lapping the track in 1:36.380.

With teams now focusing on long runs and race preparation after qualifying yesterday, times were slower than yesterday’s opening practice session, to the tune of almost three seconds.

Kobayashi, onboard the #40 WTR Cadillac V-Series.R, set the time on lap 16, mid way through the session.

There was a brief delay just five minutes in, as Felix Rosenqvist’s #60 Meyer Shank Acura ARX-06 stopped on track on the infield, and needed to be recovered. The car did make it back out during the one hour session, but was slowest of the GTPs in 12th.
