New DS Penske recruit Maximilian Günther has gone fasted in the third session of the FIA Formula E pre-season test at Jarama.

The German was just three-hundredths up on Kiro’s Dan Ticktum, the nascent American squad – formerly ERT – looking fast with likely new team-mate David Beckmann – signed for the test – fourth.

Günther’s new team-mate Jean Eric Vergne was third, with Mahindra pair of Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara fifth and sixth.

Nick Cassidy gave Jaguar TCS Racing its first appearance in the top 10 of the timings with seventh, closely followed by rookie Zane Maloney, Jake Dennis, and fellow Jag man Mitch Evans.

Tomorrow’s running is set to include a dummy run of racing with the inclusion of the longstanding Attack Charge pitstops, which also had some testing this afternoon.

NEOM McLaren and Maserati MSG Racing were rooted to the bottom of the timings due to not running on full power.
