On Saturday evening, the NTT IndyCar Series contested its first race of the double-header weekend at The Milwaukee Mile.

Pato O’Ward was the man of the afternoon, logging his first oval victory in two years by climbing from sixth and leading over half of the 250 lap race.

Will Power was second across the line, closing the points gap to Alex Palou to 43 points with two races remaining in the 2024 season.

Conor Daly rounded out the podium, a triumph that was celebrated by fans in attendance nearly as loudly as O’Ward’s win. The journeyman driver earned his first podium since 2016, and gave Juncos Hollinger Racing its first ever IndyCar podium result.

Race two of the busy weekend takes place less than 24 hours later with another 250 laps scheduled for Sunday at 2:00 PM central time.
