Fermin Aldeguer is awaiting an answer from Ducati regarding which MotoGP team he will ride for in 2025, with Gresini and VR46 remaining his possible destinations.

Ducati acquired Aldeguer’s services earlier this term but not to a certain team and a move to Pramac has been ruled out due to its change to Yamaha from next term.

Aldeguer is set to be placed at either VR46 alongside Fabio Di Giannantonio, who is set to remain, or Gresini with Alex Marquez, who has signed a contract extension.

Moto2 championship contender Aldeguer will ride a GP24 regardless of where he ends up, but when speaking about his future, he states that he has no “preference”.

“I signed with Ducati, so any team that goes with a Ducati bike is a possibility,” he told Autosport.

“Before there was also the possibility of Pramac, but not now, now it’s just Valentino and Gresini.

“But I think it will depend a lot on the teams and the contracts they make particularly with the factory.

“I will be transferred to one bike or the other. I can be happy with the Ducati, I don’t have any preferences.”

With no preference in mind, Aldeguer wants Ducati to finalise his ride for 2025 in the summer break to ensure he can sort out sponsorship and equipment agreements.

“During these three weeks of break, they are supposed to tell us where we are going. Above all to be able to manage the issue of sponsors and equipment,” he added.

“It changes a lot to go to one team or another, not only for these two we are talking about, but in general. So let’s see if they tell me soon and we can start tying things up.”

I can’t see him going to VR46 as I think that they will choose morbidelli so that only leaves Gresini. We shall see.
