It’s been a while, but the FIA Formula E World Championship is back this weekend, and Motorsport Week has everything that you need to know for the penultimate weekend of the season in Portland.

Last time out in Shanghai has left Jaguar TCS Racing’s Nick Cassidy 25 points clear of Tag Heuer Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein, with many believing it to be a two-horse race, but with third-place Mitch Evans 35 points behind and Oliver Rowland only one point behind that with a total four races left, it would be mightily risky to discount anyone still mathematically capable of capturing the crown.

It is Formula E after all.

At just over two miles long and comprising of 12 turns, the Portland International Raceway is hosting a Formula E race for the second and possibly the final time. The layout will, like last year, guarantee an extreme peloton style race, but given this year will be a double-header, race two will most likely be a slightly calmer affair.

Confusion has already reigned around the event, with a planned temporary chicane placed near the pitlane entry scrapped due to safety concerns, leaving teams to reload its 2023 track data for the simulators.

WHEN

Action kicks-off in the early hours of Saturday morning, with all times below in BST:

29/06:

FP1: 00:55-01:45

FP2: 15:25-16:15

Qualifying: 17:40-19:03

Race: 22:03-23:30

30/06:

FP3: 15:25-16:15

Qualifying: 17:40-19:03

Race: 22:03-23:30

WEATHER

Both Saturday and Sunday will see an average of 27 degrees, with Saturday expected to be slightly cloudier than Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT

Nick Cassidy will be hoping for a repeat of last year’s result, taking victory by just two tenths from Jake Dennis. Antonio Felix da Costa was third with just over two seconds between first and sixth.
