Qualifying for the 108th Indianapolis 500 took place over the course of this weekend, with many, many storylines to follow as drivers competed to fill out the grid for the race next week.
At the end of a dramatic Fast Six pole shootout, Scott McLaughlin earned a place as the newest pole winner of the Indy 500.
He was followed by his team-mates Will Power and Josef Newgarden, making for a Team Penske lockout of the front row. It is the first time that feat has been accomplished since 1988.

The back row of the grid was decided on Sunday as well, and unfortunately the 19-year-old rookie Nolan Siegel failed to qualify for the event and will not be able to participate in his first Indy 500.
A week filled with traditions and pageantry awaits drivers now, including a couple short practice runs to keep them in the groove. The race itself will take place Sunday, May 26 in front of over 300,000 cheering fans.
