Mercedes Junior Driver Doriane Pin got off to a quick start to win Race 2 in her debut F1 Academy weekend, taking all available points from the Saudi Arabia season-opener.

The Iron Dame set her sights on another triumph after earning the Pole Position, Race 1 win, and fastest lap as she fought off Alpine’s Abbi Pulling for the second time.

Pulling tailed within a second behind the race leader as the pair once again broke clear of the pack. However, Pin had enough in hand to beat the Briton home in Jeddah.

Maya Weug, the first female driver in the Ferrari Driver Academy, cruised throughout the race to a distant third-place finish.

The first lap saw the Charlotte Tilbury driver Lola Lovinfosse and Haas junior Chloe Chambers fight for points positions with both running wide, allowing the Tommy Hilfiger driver Nerea Marti to jump to fourth place.

The young drivers struggled with the kerbs on the street circuit, with many running wide at Turn 1 and cutting the corner including Bustamente and Chambers.

Chambers ran into the back of Lovinfosse on Turn 1 on Lap 3, causing the Charlotte Tilbury driver to spin in the middle of the track.

Lia Block ran straight into the side of Lovinfosse, as drivers tried to avoid the stranded car, causing the Williams junior to fall to the back as she rushed to the pits to fix her damaged front wing.

The Safety Car was deployed on Lap 3 as the Charlotte Tilbury car was stranded, but Pin managed to remain her lead with a swift exit on the restart.

Pulling almost stole the lead going down the inside of Pin, but the Frenchwoman pulled away as Lovinfosse picked up a five-place grid penalty for causing a collision.

The Wildcard driver Reema Juffali went wide straight into the wall trying to avoid the Sauber driver Carrie Shreiner, after a spin on Lap 7 which brought out the Safety Car.

Recovering from the incident with the Charlotte Tilbury driver, the young rally champion Block climbed her way up to eighth before falling to 11th at the end of the race.

Pin stalled the pack at the second restart procedure and quickly pulled away from Pulling to seize another win, clinching the fastest lap on her final tour of the circuit.

Drivers like Chambers and Bustamente collected five-second penalties for cutting the track and gaining an advantage, dropping their positions out of the points.

Lovinfosse, Juffali, and Nobels all retired from the race due to on-track incidents, as Pulling, Weug, Marti, and Edgar safely stayed in the top five.

A post-race confusion saw Pin do two more fast laps after missing the chequered flags amid a communication issue, causing her to fall under investigation for missing the signals.
