The FIA World Endurance Championship’s pre-season testing event, named the Prologue, has been delayed by two days due to freight shipping issues in the Middle East.

The Prologue was originally intended to take place this Saturday, 24th February, and Sunday 25th at the Qatar Lusail International Circuit, which will also hold the first race of the season, the Qatar 1812km, next weekend.

However, as WEC uses shipping to move its freight around the world, rather than air freight, the issues in the Suez Canal and Red Sea region has meant some of the freight, including a number of cars, has to arrive at the circuit.

Consequently, the WEC’s organisers have pushed back the Prologue, to Monday 26th February and Tuesday 27th.
