Jessica Edgar shall continue with Rodin Motorsport for her second season in F1 Academy – an announcement on Wednesday confirmed.
After her karting career began at the age of 13, Edgar progressed to single-seater racing in 2022, competing in the GB4 Championship with Fortec Motorsport.
Edgar used GB4 as a springboard into F1 Academy for 2023, where she took part in the all-female single-seater series’ inaugural season.
The British driver scored multiple podiums in her inaugural campaign in 2023 and concluded the season with a maiden victory in the final race in Austin, Texas.
Edgar’s efforts secured the eighth spot in the Drivers’ standings in 2023 and she’s looking forward to improving in her second year with Rodin.
“I am really excited to be working with Rodin Motorsport once again this year,” she said (via the F1 Academy website).
“We had a good 2023, constantly improving each time we went out in the car, and I hope we can do the same.
“I would like to say a big thank you to Rodin Motorsport for the opportunity to return to the F1 ACADEMY grid and keep building on what I learned last year.”
Edgar will be joined by Alpine Academy Driver Abbi Pulling and Charlotte Tilbury-backed Lola Lovinfosse in the Rodin Motorsport lineup.
Pre-season testing continued in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday as the F1 Academy drivers prepare for the season opener at the Corniche Circuit on March 07-09.
