Starting 38th, Nasser Al Attiyah (Toyota Gazoo Racing) had a lot of overtaking to do in today’s 311 km special, but that did not stop the Qatari from snatching victory by 3′45″ over Yazeed Al Rajhi (Overdrive Racing).

Sébastien Loeb (Bahrain Raid Xtreme) rounded out the podium of the day at 4′38″ down. Carlos Sainz drove his Audi into fourth place (+5′06″), followed by Guerlain Chicherit (Overdrive Racing) fifth at 7′19″, Orlando Terranova (Bahrain Raid Xtreme) sixth at 8′43″, Stéphane Peterhansel (Audi Sport) seventh at 10′50″ and Juan Cruz Yacopini (Overdrive Racing) eighth at 11′52″
