IndyCar took to the streets of Nashville to set the grid for the Music City Grand Prix, and Scott McLaughlin ran away with the top spot.
The Kiwi felt that it was one of the best qualifying sessions of his career, and he stomped the field with a gap of over three tenths of a second.
Pato O’Ward and Colton Herta earned the second and third starting spots, and each felt there was no way they would be able to catch McLaughlin, even with a perfect lap.

Linus Lundqvist continued to impress, and put his #60 MSR entry on the fifth row in his debut IndyCar weekend.
The Music City Grand Prix is scheduled for 11:00 AM Central Time, with rain showers predicted to move into the area in the early afternoon.
