Colin Braun topped the timesheets in opening practice for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship’s Six Hours of Glen, as the Meyer Shank Acura driver set a 1:33.563.

This was over 1.2 seconds faster than his nearest rivals, the two Penske-run Porsche machines of Nick Tandy and Felipe Nasr, with Tandy in the #7 Porsche 963 second and his teammate third in the sister #6 car.

The session was rain-affected, with the fastest times all being set in the opening 40 minutes before steady but persistent rainfall meant the rest of ther hour and a half session saw significantly slower times being set.

Fourth and fifth were two Cadillac machines, Renger van der Zande in the #01 Cadillac V-Series.R and Alexander Sims in the #31 Action Express Cadillac. They were followed by the two BMW M Hybrid V8s of Augusto Farfus and Connor de Phillippi.
