Ferrari once again set the pace in the warmup session preceding the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with James Calado quickest in the #51 Ferrari 499P.

The Brit set a 3:30.113 to go quickest, 2.846 seconds quicker than his teammate Nicklas Nielsen in the sister #50 Ferrari.

There were no real issues in the session, with just local yellows covering a few minor issues as drivers got used to the track surface, which will have changed since the last session on Thursday as it rained on Friday and this morning. More rain is possible, if not expected, before the start.

Both Nielsen and Calado will be starting, with Nielsen on pole as his teammate Antonio Fuoco set the quickest lap in Hyperpole on Thursday.

In third was the #3 Cadillac V-Series.R of Sebastien Bourdais, just over 3 seconds off Calado. The car qualified for Hyperpole but had technical issues during the session, losing its fastest lap as it caused a red flag. Bourdais will start the car eighth.

In fourth was the #94 Peugeot 9X8 of Nico Mueller, with Mike Conway the fastest Toyota in the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, only fifth.

Tom Blomqvist took the top spot on the timing sheets in the #23 United Autosports Oreca 07-Gibson, setting a 3:39.818. In second was the #34 Inter Europol Oreca 07-Gibson of Fabio Scherer, while Mathias Beche in the #14 Nielsen Racing Oreca 07-Gibson was third.

Finally, in GTE-Am, Daniel Serra in the #57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo set a 3:55.038 to be fastest in class. Kei Cozzolino made it a Kessel 1-2 in the sister #74 Kessel Racing Ferrari, while Jan Heylen in the #16 Proton Porsche 911 RSR-19 was third.

The race begins at 4pm local time.
