IndyCar competed at the picturesque Barber Motorsports Park this weekend, and a battle of pit stop strategy that split the field right down the middle.

The choices of the teams whittled a few drivers out of contention as those who opted for two stops had to save fuel most of the day, but it was a rematch between Romain Grosjean and Scott McLaughlin that played itself out for fans near the end of the race.

McLaughlin eventually moved into the top spot, and claimed his first win of the season. Grosjean held onto second against a charging Will Power in the final laps.

Nearly every driver saw the checkered flag, and only the rookie Sting Ray Robb retired for a mechanical issue. Overall, it was a very clean race on one of the driver’s favorite tracks.

The paddock convenes again in two weeks for a race around the IMS road course, followed closely by the start of the two week event that is the Indy 500.
