The NTT IndyCar Series was represented at this year’s annual Easter Egg Roll event at the White House in Washington D.C.

Alexander Rossi was on hand Monday as an invited guest to help garner interest in the series and be an ambassador for the top-level open wheel series in America.

A show car featuring a livery promoting the upcoming 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 was brought to the event as well, giving children and volunteers alike a close up view of the car.

Rossi was tasked with conducting a few interviews along with giving personalized tours to thousands of visitors of the equipment he pilots on track.

The White House Easter Egg Roll has long been a traditional event to mark the coming of spring, and being invited to participate is considered a high compliment.

The festivities first took place in 1878 when President Rutherford B. Hayes invited children to the White House, and kids have been invited back most years since then to hunt for eggs and complete other fun activities.

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden were in attendance this year to oversee the numerous activities hosted during the all-day event.

The kids who were selected to attend this year were able to talk with Rossi about his life as a race car driver, making memories that will likely stick with them for a long time to come.

There was also a kid-friendly demonstration set up by PitFit, which produces machinery and programs that help drivers stay physically fit and mentally sharp.

Rossi’s participation in the event was possible due to Easter weekend falling in a small gap in the IndyCar schedule this year. He will head out to the west coast for a race on the streets of Long Beach this upcoming weekend.
