Nick Cassidy followed up his pole position run on Saturday in New York with another run to the head of the pack, as he beat Antonio Felix da Costa in the final duel.
Cassidy ended his first Group in second place, advancing through to the duels alongside Sergio Sette Camara, Nyck de Vries and Alexander Sims.
Championship leader Edorado Mortara suffered an issue early on in the session and failed to set a lap time, meaning he will start the E-Prix from the back of the field.
Jean-Eric Vergne, who is also in the championship hunt, failed to progress out of the group after hitting the wall on his final lap.
The second group was topped by Lucas Di Grassi, however the Brazilian failed to progress after his lap time was deleted. Mitch Evans, da Costa, Stoffel Vandoorne and Andre Lotterer advanced through.
In the duels, Lotterer dispatched Sette Camara, setting up a semi-final battle with Cassidy after the Envision driver beat Vandoorne.
In the other two quarter-finals, da Costa edged out de Vries, while just 0.006s separated Sims and Evans at the finish line, with the former advancing into the next stage.
Cassidy’s place in the final was booked when he dismantled Lotterer in the semi-final, as the Porsche driver endured a difficult lap. He was 1.625s down at the chequered flag.
Da Costa beat Sims by a tenth and a half, and advanced to the final to decide the front row order.
Cassidy produced a strong first sector, and pulled out a healthy gap in the opening sector. Although Da Costa was able to claw back some time, it wasn’t enough, leaving Cassidy to take his fourth career Formula E pole.
