2023 Indy 500 logo revealed alongside extended Gainbridge sponsorship

The 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 has been given an official logo, which was revealed on Wednesday leading up this year’s race weekend.

The inside of the new logo is a colored black, which embodies class and prestige, as well as the track surface, which is darker in recent years on account of multiple coats of sealant.

The logo is outlined by a stylized representation of the historic 2.5-mile track, and the familiar gold of the Wing & Wheel logo sits just below the 2023 race date.

The new logo is reminiscent of the 2021 logo, which featured the same general shape as the 2023 version.  But for this iteration the track that forms the outline of the logo is angled to match the lettering and no longer doubles as a representation of the pagoda that sits inside the track.

New designs are created for each race, and this reveal came as part of an announcement that Gainbridge would continue to be a presenting sponsor of the historic race for multiple years to come.

“Gainbridge is fully invested in racing as a vehicle for brand growth and understands the unique and global platform the Indianapolis 500 provides,” said Penske Entertainment President & CEO Mark Miles.

“We’re excited to continue this mutually productive relationship between two innovative and trusted partners in their space.”

Gainbridge has been the presenting sponsor of the Indy 500 since 2019, with its brand featuring as part of the official logo. The company is also the title sponsor of Colton Herta’s Andretti Autosport Honda.

Gainbridge has a larger relationship with the series as well, providing official annuity and life insurance services for NTT IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
