Ryo Hirakawa will get another test outing in Toyota’s GR010 Hybrid Hypercar in September.

Hirakawa has previously tested the Japanese marque’s WEC challenger at Portimao following the second round of the championship in June.

The Super GT driver, part of the Toyota Young Drivers Program, will get behind the wheel of the car again during a test at Circuit de Catalunya on 22-24 September.

According to Toyota, the test is part of ‘TGR’s commitment to developing young drivers for the future’, further boosting speculation that the Super GT champion could be a part of Toyota’s Hypercar line-up for future seasons.
